WHO IS SHE?
Lorelai Victoria Gilmore - Played by Lauren Graham.
Lorelai is the daughter of Richard and Emily Gilmore, who at the age of sixteen became pregnant with daughter Rory (fathered by Christopher Hayden). Disagreeing with her parents plans for her, she ran away with baby Rory to the town of Stars Hollow where she met Mia the owner of The Independence Inn who hired Lorelai and provided a place for her to live.
When we first meet Lorelai she has worked her way up from a maid to being the manager of the Independence Inn, after the inn is burned down Lorelai and best friend Sookie purchase The Dragonfly Inn, something that they have aimed for for years.
Lorelai has had a fair share of handsome gentlemen friends, starting with one of Rory’s Chilton teachers Max Medina who she became engaged to but realised during her Hen night that he wasn’t the man for her. She later dated her father’s business partner Jason Stiles, before finally getting together with Luke, however the path to true love wasn’t an easy one. Due to meddling from her mother and ex Christopher, and the arrival of a daughter that Luke never knew he had, Lorelai and Luke parted ways, she then went on to date and marry Christopher, but that also didn’t last. In the final show we were lead to believe that Lorelai and Luke were re-united.
I can say with all honesty that this is my favourite and most watched (by far) episode, probably due to the fact that I was a big Rory/Jess fan and this was when it all really got started between the two. Plus Kirk doing the victory lap to the Rocky theme tune is so funny!
… sometimes you have something you need to say but you can’t, because the words won’t come out or you get scared or you feel stupid. So, if you could write a song and sing it, then you could say what you need to say and it would be beautiful and people would listen and you wouldn’t make a complete idiot out of yourself. But all of us can’t be songwriters, so some of us will never be able to say what we’re thinking or what we want other people to know we’re thinking, so we’ll never be able to get the chance to make things right again…

WHO IS SHE?
Lorelai (Rory) Leigh Gilmore, played by Alexis Bledel.
Rory is the first (and only) born child of Lorelai Gilmore and Christopher Hayden (who later went on to have a daughter named Gigi with Sherry). She was raised in the rather bizarre, yet quaint, town of Stars Hollow.
Rory attended prep school Chilton, with the hope that it would prepare her for her dream college, Harvard, but later went on to attend Yale which she dropped out of in her sophomore year. She later went back to Yale and after graduating got a job following Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.
Rory’s best friend throughout the show was Lane Kim who she had known since elementary school, she also struck up an unlikely friendship with Paris Gellar - her one time Chilton Rival.
Rory had three main relationships throughout the show, Dean, Jess and Logan (we’ll have more about them soon).
